There are plenty of good reasons to live in Eastcote. The area has a nice shopping parade, a good range of housing stock and can provide a quick ride into London from Eastcote station. During the 1920s and 30s Eastcote saw major residential development by builders T F Nash either side of Field End Road. To the north lies the desirable Eastcote Park Estate, built by Comben and Wakeling on the grounds of the Eastcote House. Field End Infant and Junior Schools provide a large intake for primary education. Also Coteford and Roxbourne schools are close by for the area’s children to attend.

Eastcote Underground Station opened in 1904, and caters for Piccadilly and Metropolitan Line passengers. The zone 5 station is on the Uxbridge branch, and is a direct route into the City and West End. Bus routes 282 and 398 stop outside. The 282 travels between Ealing and Mount Vernon Hospitals.

There are some nice recreational facilities around the Eastcote area. On the Field End Road you’ll find a large recreation ground, with miniature railway to entertain younger children. Ruislip Lido is close by, which offers a sandy beach area, picnic areas, woodland walks around the lake and train rides for children. Refreshments are provided at the pub and restaurant on the lakeside.

Central Eastcote has excellent shopping facilities with a selection of retail chains and independent shops. There’s a Budgens supermarket, Barclays, NatWest, HSBC, Halifax, Santander, Nationwide and a Post Office. Along  the main road are some good quality restaurants, coffee shops and cafés, with The Manor pub located centrally. Further north is the traditional Case is Altered pub with an excellent beer garden and food service.

Eastcote borders with Ruilsip, Pinner and Rayners Lane.
